Friedberg is famous for it\u00b4s medieval charm. The center of the old town is the Marienplatz\u00a0 and Friedberg\u00b4s town hall.<br \/>During the 17th and 18th centuries, Friedberg evolved into a watchmaking town.<br \/>Every three years the old town relives the baroque and rococo days of that golden past through a major historical festival called \u201cFriedberger Zeit\u201d.<br \/>Other places of interest: The city wall, St. Jakob church in the neo-roman style, the church \u201cLords Rest\u201d \u2013 a Bavarian rococo jewel and pilgrimage church, the Wittelsbach castle &#8211; residence of the Wittelsbacher and museum.<\/p><h2>The city of Augsburg<\/h2><p>In close vicinity to Friedberg is Augsburg, the third biggest city in Bavaria, also known as \u201cFuggerstadt\u201d. One of Augsburg\u00b4s most famous place is the Renaissance city hall built by Elias Holl.
